"As a classical home educating mother of four I have found the 'Comprehensive Screwtape Letters Study Guide' an invaluable tool. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters" is an excellent work of insight into human nature and is imperative in the educational endeavors of anyone who seeks to better understand them selves and those they share this life with. That being said, it is a work full of theological innuendo and perspective and the literary work is better understood with some working knowledge of the mind of Lewis himself. I confess I rarely have the time to prepare when dealing with such lofty works of literature. The solution and great blessing is Mondo Gonzales' "Comprehensive Screwtape Letters Study Guide". A great deal of the hard work has been done for me. It is set up to easily be used to prepare to teach the letters or as a personal or family study.  Through this study, you will likely know the mind of C. S. Lewis better than you ever thought you would, you may know yourself better than you'd like and certainly you will be drawn closer to the Lord himself as you seek out the truths Lewis has presented."

"The depth and complexity of "The Screwtape Letters" make it a challenging book to both study and teach.  Even though it is brilliantly written using a satirical and humorous approach, this book contains deep spiritual and theological truths.  In teaching this work in Sunday School, I found “The Comprehensive Screwtape Letters Study Guide,” by Mondo Gonzales, to be an invaluable resource.  There are many elements that set this study guide apart from others.  For each letter, there is a brief synopsis which digs below the surface to reveal the meaning behind many of the communications between Screwtape and Wormwood.  There is also a section on theological themes which I found particularly helpful in gaining a deeper understanding of the spiritual precepts presented in the letter.  Also, each letter has an exhaustive list of study questions, with accompanying answers.  What impressed me most was that each section contained numerous references to Scripture, so that the reader can constantly affirm what God’s Word says in relation to the points presented both by the characters in the book and by Mr. Gonzales himself.  This study certainly helped me formulate lessons which were meaningful and generated a great deal of discussion.  It allowed us to dig far below surface level into the spiritual and theological truths presented by Mr. Lewis in this classic book."
